About Us

Who are we?

The Bridge Family Church is a church plant that launched Easter Sunday of 2024 starting out at Heritage Park Recreation Center. The Lord then opened the door for us to move our services in November 2024 onto the much larger, beautiful campus at Dayspring Angeline Academy.  We have seen God move in powerful ways over the past year with all of our firsts. First wedding, first Birth, first Water Baptism, first Celebration of Life, first baby dedication, first of all the holidays, including our First Christmas with snow and the First of many more to come.  

We are a Non-denominational, Spirit-filled, Bible believing Church that simply loves JESUS and loves people. We believe and preach straight from the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation. 

We follow the commands of:

Mark 12:30-31 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

How we got started
Pastor Dave Avery and his wife Lisa, have been in ministry for over 28 years.

Pastoring and leading various ministries such as children’s, youth, young adults, singles, couples, men’s, women’s, Discipleship, missions trips, Conferences, (to name a few) and just about every other area of the church.  The Lord was obviously preparing them for what was next. 

When the Lord spoke to them, they clearly heard Him say, “GO NOW! Not just with big faith, but GO with HUGE FAITH”.  He said, “Go and multiply MY Kingdom!" So they left everything they knew, including their full time positions at a large church and all that was comfortable to pursue the call of God on their lives. So within a month and a half, The Bridge had their first service. 

The Vision given to them for The Bridge is to simply see people connected to Jesus (He is the Bridge) and to one another as the body of Christ. It is to see many get saved, healed, and set free so they can live a life in freedom; free to fulfill their purpose.  For those who have walked away from the church, to return together once again as a family, as the Body of Christ.  Pastor Dave and Lisa have a vision to see The Bridge extended into our local communities, reachiing the lost, so people can find the Hope in Jesus Christ. To see them Discipled and moving in their call while sending them out into the Mission field whether it be workplace ministry, as a missionary or evangelist, or to plant a church. 

Together, along with the team the Lord has gathered, they are excited to connect the Bridge to the Land O’ Lakes area and beyond. 

Pastor Dave is an Ordained Pastor and Lisa is a Licensed minister. They have been married for 36 incredible years, have two wonderful adult children, and have been blessed with a wonderful son in love and daughter in love. They also have two amazing grand children whom they can’t get enough of.
